Ready for more NVC practice? This workshop explores skills that we don’t usually cover thoroughly in a day-long introduction, such as self-empathy and making requests. Join us for an interactive day of learning and practicing NVC skills together in a beautiful space.
Some of what you’ll practice:
- Self-empathy as the foundation for connecting with others
- Making clear, specific requests that are more likely to be heard
- Staying self-connected during challenging conversations
Is this workshop for you? Yes, if you have ONE of the following:
- Attended the June 14 daylong workshop at CIMC
- Completed 5+ hours of online or in-person NVC training
- Read Marshall Rosenberg’s “Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life” within the last 2 years
Why these prerequisites? Prior exposure to NVC fundamentals allows us to delve deeper into core concepts and explore practical applications, rather than repeating introductory material.
Important: No meditation experience required. While we touched on wise speech in our June workshop, this session focuses primarily on deepening your NVC skills. Everyone is welcome regardless of spiritual background or interest in the concept of wise speech.
Facilitators: Bonnie Mioduchoski & Philippe Daniel – experienced NVC practitioners since 2006 with extensive training in both NVC and insight meditation. You can learn more about them at www.speakingoflistening.com.
